The next day we went to meet our new bus which was driven by Morrie. Our new group now had around 25 people, which mainly consisted of a few English, couple of Germans, a Danish Girl and half of Ireland! This was the start of what would become an amazing couple of weeks!
Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest of New Zealand's national parks. The park is best known for its coastline of crescent-shaped bays, golden sand beaches, clear waters, little islands and granite headlands. When we arrived the weather was so beautiful that we decided now would be the perfect opportunity (i talked Luce into doing it) to do a sky dive!!! The bus journey to the sky dive centre was probably the worst 45 minutes of Lucy´s life! We both jumped from 13 000ft and absolutely loved it! The 50 second freefall was amazing and the views of the National Park were breathtaking.
We spent the next two nights at Old MacDonalds farm which was pretty grim and came with its own pet mouse! That evening we did a group BBQ, played lots of silly games and watched our skydive DVDs. We had a really good day and got to meet everyone in our new group.
The next day we went on a four hour walk around the national park. Having had lunch on the beach we then sailed back to the hostel on a catarmaran.
