Hi guys, since the last time we wrote we moved onto Surfers Paradise for a week.

We had a great time in Surfers. It's a really touristy place with lots of high rise hotels and apartments but there is so much to do here. As the name suggests, it has a great beach with lovely soft white sand and some quite big waves to surf in. We only had 1 day on the beach here as we were quite busy doing trips and exploring.

There are lots of theme parks around Surfers and one day we went to Warner Brothers Movie World. The theme park was great with loads of rides, shops and shows to see. We had a really fun day but Ben was a bit gutted as I wouldn't go on any of the rollercoasers! He actually went on one of the rollercoasters 5 times!

Anyway after the exctitement of that day we decided to have a bit of a relaxing day and see some of the countryside around Surfers. So we did a trip to Lamington National Park. We walked through some rainforest and along a tree top walk through the canopy (very high and scary!). Driving along up the mountain we saw lots of kangaroos and took a picture of one with a baby in it's pouch. On top of the mountain was an Alpaca farm. The Alpaca's are kind of like lamas but to be honest the main attraction was the beautiful view from the top of the mountain. After lunch in Tamborine mountain village we did another rainfores walk and ended up at a beautiful waterfall. On the way back we stopped at a vineyard to do some winetasting which was fun and free so we made the most of the free tasters!

There were some really lovely shops in Surfers so the rest of our time at Surfers was spent exploring the town and shopping.
