Captains log 1/6/2013! Another day in lovely London. We started our day with the pack of not eating bacon and eggs so we headed towards the natural history museum, we found this lovely French cafe and settled in. We both had portage and honey and a croissant. It was lovely and finely some semi decent coffee. With our stomachs finally detoxed from English pub food we went into the museum! Once again we got there at the exact time to miss the 2-3 hour queue and walked straight in. The whole thing is amazing dinosaur skeletons, giant blue whale skeletons, a 1300 year old year tree stump, some meteorites from mars and some lovely gemstones. Unfortunately as we were walking though the dinosaur exhibited there was a giant T. rex sigh behind a wall with sound effects and lights going on, excitedly I moved towards it to see the beast, instead I was confronted with some robotic one, that was disappointing. After that we went into a lovely small Japanese cafe to continue our trend of eating healthily . We had some "cone" shape sushi and a katsu chicken, and our first attempt at some sake. It was all so nice and again felt good not to be eating some form of deep fried goodness. We went on our way to the British museum. That was incredible room after room of ancient artifacts, looking at king Henry the seconds personal library with just a cheeky complete collection of shake spheres writings. The Greek, roman stuff was breathe taking and had me walking about like a gitty school kid. After 7000 steps and a whole lot of complaining Bella finally decided that day 4 was a good time to take her share of the backpack holding, be it 15 minutes in the last room before leaving and going back to the hotel, but hey guess its better then nothing. This all took place in the ancient Egypt rooms, the mummies, the artifacts, the Thombs, all so good! We went back to refresh and relax before out kickstart meeting with contiki, that was ok short and sweet then a quick pint at the pub and a hello! Everyone seems nice, I was told not judge for the first few days so I will update the dbag list in a few days. Once that was done we went and caught up with old friends Nathan and Fran. It was really nice to see them! Nathan took us to a pub that sells over 400 beers it was nice. We had dinner at a "fancy" burger shack that was decent. After dinner they took us to Leicester square which is different at night, pointed out a few things and took us into a swanky cocktail bar. First club I've seen bust a saxophone over house music, it was ok bit of English trash but that's ok. It got late so it was time to call it a night with our tour starting tomorrow!
