Captains log 21/06/13 party time over, the cruise has come to an end. We wake up around 6am a little shady from Sams birthday. Get showered dressed and organize to leave the boat, one last breakfast. However it was ruined by these two piece of s*** Eastern European couple who were just yelling cafe and aqua at the wait staff like they were the only two people in the room and the other 500 people didn't matter. This really pissed me off and I had to get out of there. Liz wasn't on the boat because she was sorting out everyone's suitcases, she made me team leader on rounding everyone up! I went and woke up Sam and few others, they all looked like death. They were up until 530am drinking and running a muck. Silly! We got off and got grouped up for a local tour around Athens and to the Parthian. Everyone was very rough so I felt sorry for the local guide who was trying to get there attention but it was to no prevail. We got to the acroperlase and got out and started the tour. Well this is amazing, the whole area was built 400 bc to worship Athena the goddess of wisdom and strategy. It's amazing and in semi good condition. Many other gods were wore shipped here as well but mainly Athena. It's really sad to know that most of the damage to it was all by man, though wars and looters and general construction. There is permanent scaf holding around many of the pillars which kind of ruins the photo but its for the greater good. We all met back up and went back to see some other city sites a mix between old and new, Athens is quite nice. We stop for some lunch. Bella and I go with liz, Nicole and wriggles for some good old Greek food. We share bread, tapenade, tarma, octopus, local sausage, salmon and avocado salad and a Caesar :p with a pint of the local brew. It was really really good. We got back on the bus and went about an hour away to meet up with levdog and the others that didn't do the cruise. It's this that we realise how good a driver Levi is because our shuttle drive was crazy and we almost crashed many times. We sat around for 2 hours waiting for our ferry, silly Greeks and ish time. You never no what's going to happen. We all got back together and it was good to see them all again. The next 6 hours was spent driving to edge of the Greek / Albania boarder were we stayed the night at a really nice hotel in the middle of know where. I really wish we had more time in this hotel as I think it was the nicest so far. We got a good nights rest ready for Albania tomorrow!
P.s sorry for the less then interesting day! All 46 of us are super burnt out and feeling very run down! Hopefully some looseness in Croatia!
