Captains log 17/06/13 as I write this, lyrics from lonely island I'm on a boat runs though my mind. Also as I write this I'm sitting on a sun deck chair on the 9th floor sipping on a cocktail over looking the Mediterranean Sea and the lovely island of Patmos, ok back to the story. We wake up at 630am always a terrible task, however we were greeted with a really nice breakfast at the hotel. They had everything including donuts so that was nice. We bustled into the lobby to meet up and get on the cruise. We get to the dock and check in, I kind of wish we spent more time in Athens it's a really nice place. We boarded and have a small meeting, this boat is huge and it's amazing! Truly amazing. 10 floors, 8 bars, a night club, 2 restaurants, a casino, day spa, shops, duty free and almost anything you can think of. We organized what excursion we plan on doing around the place and then sign up for one of the greatest things I have ever seen or heard of. 80 euro unlimited alcohol!!!!! I though it was a rumor but apparently not. We sign up and myself and 3 of the boys get the nice feet of first beer before anyone on board, nice! We have a small lifeboat and life jacket drill and we settle in to our cabin. It's ok, I wasn't expecting much after the overnight ferry so I guess that's a good thing. We were stuck with the terrible task of planing what to do, what do 2 people on a cruise ship with unlimited drinks endless space to navigate around and about 16 hours of sun a day to do. Naturally we got changed got cocktails and sat around the pool getting our bronze on. It was so nice, the pool is sea water they pump in and out from the ocean. Bella got her frolic on in the pool and I just layed on a deck chair chatting with the crew. We had lunch with a big group up at the pool buffet. It was better then expect and they had lots of different cuisines to try. Even a hotdog and burger station, and yes I did make myself a dog :D! Back to the pool with more relaxing! We landed in Mykonos, apparently it's taken over Ibiza for the party capital of the world, kind of cool. We settled in for some ehros or some kind of Greek kabab with chips in it, that was awesome! Then we hit our first bar. It was short and sweet a shooter and a cocktail with bit of music,everyone's spirits though the roof! We finished up there and went to "down under bar" although it has nothing to do with Australia it was kind of cool. They do a sand bucket, which is a giant sand bucket filled with a mixer or a cocktail or red bull and vodka. It's really cool. We got our drink and dance on with the Dj playing a decent set, and getting Liz very tipsy :p, although again it was too soon to leave. Liz let Bella and I run ahead to try get more ehros but we were too lost to find them :( we got on the shuttle bus and John (the cruise contiki manager) organized to keep to buffet open until 12. We got on boat had a huge midnight snack and got another drink, Bella wanted to go to bed but I wanted to keep partying. I walked her down to our room, put her into bed gave her a good night hug, when I realized how comfortable the bed was and decided enough was enough. I think a good plan with a 530 start the next day, Bella also clams it took me about 4 seconds to sleep!! Turkey tomorrow!
