Well we are reunited with our rucksaks after a few months of living in civilisation and were off on our next adventure, New Zealand. First stop was Christchurch.

We had our first delay of the trip bu tonly 45 minutes, but this meant we only had 2 hours sleep before we set off on our Kiwi Experience bus.

We stayed at Jail house hostel and this was so cool. It was an old prison and still had the origional features which made it so much fun. We had booked a twin room and it still had the cell door and bars on the windows. As you walked into reception there was the bored on the wall were you get your mug shot done, holding the sign.

The Kiwi Bus

Basically the Kiwi experience is an organised hop on, hop off bus. We are doing the Kea Route which takes us the both the north and south island. You can then decide how long you want in each place. Accomodation is not included but they have hostels that they take you to eachday so everyone just stays there. We have had a few extra little suprise outings on the way around which makes it loads of fun but i'll come to that later.

So as for Christchurch itself, we only saw where we drove throught to pick other people up on our bus but its still in such devestation after the earthquake, the whole down is covered in fallen down buildings and scaffolding. Not the best looking place but hey ho were already leaving.
