We arrived in Sihanoukville at 7.30am and were plannin gon staying at a hotel called monkey republic but reception wasnt open so headed down to the beach to find another place. We checked into Ocean Walk Inn, funnily ran by a guy from huddersfield. The rooms were pretty grotty but we were too tired to hunt for another so it did for one night.
We went upto monkey republic for dinner after a little nap and HEAVEN...... Heinz beans, Nescafe coffe and MARMIITTTEEE!! Thee best food we have eaten in months. Cheesy beans on toast a coffee and 2 slices of marmite and toast and we were the happiest people alive at that moment. Just our luck though the rain was terrential so eneded up wathing films alot of the afternoon, seems like its been our latest hobby in Cambodia because of the weather.
Day 2 we moved to a much better hotel called Beach Road which had a pool so we spent the afternoon all lazing with our books.
That night we were lucky to meet up with Adam again (they guy we travelled Vietnam with) It soon eneded up in drinking games, buckets and dancing on the beach. Another great night of course.
Day 3 we got a tuk tuk to Otres beach, about 15 minutes away. The beach was really quite and alot nicer the Sihanoukville beach. Finally we had a day of sun so were all very happy with a bit of a tan at the end of the day. Stupidly, me and Amy decided to get our armpits threaded on the beac after seing a few others have theres done, OOHH THE PAIN! never again even though it was only $3. We headed back to the pool at 4 for a swim. James and Harry have such a little bromance going on, it is honestly like watching little 5 years olds play. For me and Amy this is great though as we can sunbathe and read in peace.
For tea we decided on a change as the only place we had eaten was monkey republic. We walked away from where we were staying and found some open air restaurants with fresh seafood on the BBQ. For $3 we had BBQ chicken, potatoes, salad and garlic bread, the nice bbq man even threw in a huge prawn for me to try. Amy and Harry had loads of seafood but me and James haven't quite got the taste for it yet but where still trying. We decided we would try go to Koh Rong, a little island off the coast but left it too late as all thetravel agents were closed by the time we got back.
Luckily (or not so) Amy and James got up early and managed to book us onto the boat for that day.
