So James and Amy managed to get us booked on the boat however I was not at all enthusiastic about this as the sky was black and there is literally nothing to do there.
The boat was so rough and wet and rainy and took 3 hours because it had to go so slow because of the waves. We didnt arrive till 4.30pm.
When they said they had booked accomodation in a bungalow, nothing prepared us for the little straw hut on stilts on the beach. As far as I am concerned if the big bad wolf could blow down the 3 little pigs with one puff, No way did this look straw hut look like it would withstand the tropical storm that had arrived with us.
Harry decided to have a shower but so kindly pointed out the terantula that has also checked in with us. Thank god I had already been to the toilet as from that point no way on eath was me or James going back in there. I was in such a bad mood as it was, I left the rest to play in the sea in the rain while I sat and had a beer.
The rain never stopped so we went back to get changed and showerd. Me and James were so scared we showerd at the same time with swimming stuff on with the door wide open so we culd run. Never showered so quickly.
With nothing else to do and absolutely no desire to stay in the bungalow we sat in the bar all night playing cards and having a few drinks to give us the dutch courage to face the bungalow oh and not to forget the swimming with the plankton when it got dark.
Thank goodness, we survived the night. We were nicely woken up to more terential rain and the loudest thunder we had ever heard it shuck the ground. We had to check out by ten but had expected a glorious day of sun on a tropical beach (because of the rain and the spider we forget that it was like a little slice of paradise on earth) The guy reccomended that we get the 10am boat as we might not get off the island for weeks as the weather was so bad.
So over all, a bit of a waste of time and money but again we all had fun together and its a new expereince and another tick in the box

Grandma & Grandad Sounds horrendous particularly the spider. You'll have to swap horror stories with Emma. Look after youselves Lots of love Grandma & Grandad
