Becky Bravo's Adventures
After our crazy day yesterday we had a much needed relaxing day. We slept right on through breakfast, got up for lunch, went shopping in town, and then more hanging out by the pool. I had just enough time to stop by the salon after our Dolphin excursion yesterday and get some sweet cornrows put in my hair. I had fun showing those off. Plus it was nice to not have to style my hair for the rest of the trip.
The people at the market in town were definitely pushy, but thanks to Jaime's and my experience in other countries, we had our bargaining skills down for sure. Pushy vendors did not intimidate us. I got a couple of things from the market, I talked one vendor down who tried to charge me $40 for one painting, but then I bargained them down to two paintings for $15. Ah, yea! Jaime got a sweet carving too.
Although I didn't bargain them down, I did get a Jamaica swim suit - I did pay $25 which is still a deal if you think about regular price swim suits here in the states.
The stores and market was just a short walk from our resort, so after our trip into town, we just came back to the resort and took more advantage of the all-inclusive drinks and food.
