Day 2:
Our first mission was the Eiffel tower. So after breakfast we headed over there. The cue took about 1.5 hrs to get our ticket. Then we headed up in the lift to the second floor. I was speechless when I saw the view. The whole of paris ... So amazing. Took heaps of photos and just stood on awe for ages. Found a little coffee shop and had cappuccino - which was pretty cold - and some yummy pizza and chocolate croissant/raspberry cheesecake. Had a look around the gift stores and then after about an hour decided to take the lift down. Got off at first floor and looked around then walked all the stairs back down to the bottom. Couldn't get to the top. Cues were soooo long because it was a public holiday.
Then we bought two day pass for les rouge buses (red bus) for a sight seeing tour around the city. Was amazing. Got heaps of photos. Went round twice ... Then got taxi back to the hotel. Quick change of clothes then straight to the meeting.
Was greeted at the door by two lovely African brothers - frank and nick. Got to speak to many bros and sis. Lots spoke English very well. Couldn't understand much of the meeting, but heard jehovahs name mentioned often. The songs were so beautiful ... Loved hearing them in French.
Waited for the bus but it didn't show up so we got a taxi back to pont Mirabeau just in time to see the Eiffel tower sparkling. Was amazing timing. It looked so beautiful with the lights on and the river glistening.
On our walk home we called into annoys little grocery shop and picked up a bottle of French champagne, which we had with pringles. It's class all the way ... LOL!
Good night.
