So i have not written for ages...i guess the most important things to say are: I am still enjoying/loving my time here...wouldnt change it in the world! Well if i could i would extend my stay...but its not possible! Its still beautiful weather...today was a bit grey this morning but other than that its stunning still!
Since ive written ive discovered so many places that i want to go back too, but i dont have enough time! Everything ive done or everywhere i have been i want to go back but i dont have enough time, i guess its a good excuse to come back to south africa? I have also been eaten alive by mozzis...and as usual my body reacted not very well to them and are nice and juicy big bites...attractive!
We took the kids to the aquariam in Feb, they loved it SO much! The first thing they did was run to the Tank of clownfish yelling 'nemo nemo'!, it was so great to see them enjoy themselves so much and to take them out of the home! We have also visted a farm yard since i last wrote...although we didnt see ANY animals as the kids were too busy all day in the pool! There are lots of new children too, one called zandi who is tiny, she was something like 8 weeks premature and now its abou 8/9 weeks old. Ive never seen a child so small! Then there is Aphiele, who i look after/teach in the mornings, she is blind so im finding it tricky but now ive been with her for a couple of weeks its getting easier, and its so lovely to see her progress too. When she arrived Siyabonga arrived too, who is the cute one out of my group...we have bonded brilliantly! I love all the children so much, its hard to part on the weekends from them!
I went to Robben Island on the 18th, i learnt so much that day. The trip was great...we got a boat across to the island and then hopped on a tour guide bus which told us everything we needed to know...then we went on a prison tour with an ex prisoner! I found it all fasinating and learnt so much! And of course we visited Nelson Mandelas cell...
On two fridays i went over to Vishoek for the night, had a braai on one night (BBQ) and then party the other, at a house full of people i met over here...both fun nights! Ive met so many amazing people here i hope to keep in contact with for a long time! All the things i was worried about before coming here have turned out to be brilliant: best family + best friends!
Last two saturdays i have been out on Long street (party street of cape town) both interesting nights! Last sat we went for a meal in an african resturant which was enjoyable, live music etc. quite touristy but a lovely atmosphere!
This weekend i went to Langabaan again but with Ryan Lara and kate, had a brilliant day on the beach with the lagoon!
Ive also started a building project in a township! So from now on wednesdays (hopefully every week) im going to be a builder!
Anyway, must dash! Missing you all, thank you for all my emails/post and ill try to write soon.
All my love from SA.
