Hey everyone! So my first 'blog entry'...

arrived after a very very long flight (i have to say i sat next to possibly the most beautiful man in the world..but he was with his girlfriend!), didnt sleep at all but arrived to a boiling hot cape town. I was picked up by the organisations support staff, who i have already adopted as my second family they are brilliant. they know everyone in cape town and are just fab. So after being picked up i ventured out with zwoda to the district six museum and had a nose about cape town, getting to know the trains etc-which is actually really hard. The trains are scary/funny, my first time on them it broke down and we had to climb out the windows! second time kate and i (another volunteer) got seperated as i got stuck on the train, with the door open we were hanging out a moving train...very interesting!

I started working at the orphanage on tuesday, and have already fallen in love with them all. i am working with 'group b' which means i amworking with boys and girls aged between 18 months and 24 months. At the moment we are just getting to know them but i really love it. we have to play with them, feed them, wash them, put them to bed and of course deal with lots of poo! one of them is just learning to use a toilet/hole in the floor and really likes playing with his poo! and today we pulled his trousers down and out comes a HUGE poo!

Kate is a girl i met out here and we went to a beachafter work ysday...its brilliant, its only 20 mins on the train and its beautiful. we are both sporting very funny tan lines! I have also met a guy out here called taylor so tomorrow we have a day off so im off out with him to cape town and then on saturday i am going to cape point which is where the atlanic and indian ocean meet.

The other night i went out with the family and had a sunset walk along waterfront, which is touristy but very nice...the sun rise and set is the most beautiful thing you could ever see.

I really am enjoying myself so much and ive hardly had anytime to think of any of you!
