Our favourite place in Vietnam!
We arrived and paid a bit more for a hotel with a swimming pool but it turned out it wasnt worth the money, so we moved to a nice cheapie that was cleaner and brighter. Anyways we had the beach. Si was ill for the first couple fo days so we just dossed around, found a good tailors and set about having some clothes made. To be honest they were all quite good quaility, they fit me perfectly and i can change the size to suit me whenever i didnt like the length etc it was brilliant...nice to be pampered! You just flick through the next catalogue pick what you like, the materical you want and she meausres you...next day its ready. In the end i had a winter coat, 2 pairs of shorts, a top, a skirt and a dress and si had a pair of shorts and a shirt... it cost about $100! Brilliant, i did a tour of the heritage old centre by myself as Si was ill again and i saw some of the worst museum,s ever (honestly dont bother if you go here!) but the rest was nice, i saw another japanese style bridge (like the one in Hue), an old wooden house that was very interesting. Every year the ground floor completely flooded and they had to winch all the furniture up to the first floor using the old winch they used when the house was working.
They had some nice art work and an intersting pot that showed people not to be greedy, if you fill it up 80% with water it would not run out the hole in the bottom and you can drink it but if you fill it up over 80% it all runs out!
The last two days were sheer bliss chilling by the beach, it was quiet you didnt get hassled and the sea was beautiful the weather was nice ansd it was just brilliant. Si got excited cus he got a football and tried to turn me into a male compainion by attempting to teach me headers and in true female style i complained it hurt my head and ran away, but it came in handy when you caouldnt be arsed to swim and you just wanted to float!
And that was it, doesnt sound like much but we just chilled out and its the nicest place ever, will definitely go back!
