After a surprisingly easy 12 hour overnight flight to Hong Kong we finally arrive and use the train to take us to Kowloon where we are staying. Having looked at a street map we decided to walk from Kowloon station - what looked like 4 blocks - rather than change trains 3 times to get to the nearest metro stop to our hotel... easier said than done! Luckily there were quite a few very friendly people who helped us navigate the pedestrian the overhead and undergroun...

We arrived early to the port of Piraeus to catch our overnight ferry to Santorini, only to find it had been delayed for 2 hours. So we settled in for a 4 hour wait. When it finally arrived, chugging a huge line of deisel smoke behind it, it took another hour to offload everything - including 4 oil tankers and a semi - and then finally at 9pm we took off (it was originally meant to leave at 5pm!). After a long hot day of travel from Naples - 2 buses, 4 trains, 1 plane and a cab - we finally arrived in Athens at about midnight and it was still 29 degrees. They had the easiest customs ever... ie it didn't exist, you basically picked up your bags and walked straight out, only down side is no stamp on the passport... so many countries don't stamp passports anymore LThe next morning we headed for the major sights.
