We left Harstad at 8am this morning.....heading for the Loferton islands.   At 10am we turned back and returned to Harstad.....we were heading into a hurricane apparently and would not be making it to Loferton.

Spent a few hours in Harstad looking round the town....it was quite pretty really. Considering it was not a planned stop at that town, there was plenty to see.

We set sail from Harstad at 3pm and at about 6pm we hit what I guess is the end or beginning of this hurricane. it is very very very VERY rough right now. A minute or two ago, the ceiling above us actually fell down!!!!! Not filling us with confidence!!

Just spoken to Nigel who is very knowledgable and sat beside me....he reckons we are on violent storm force 11 on the beaufort scale.....not quite hurrcane yet but bad enough! The ceiling has just this second fallen down again!

Everyone is in good spirits though and I hope this will ease soon! We are on deck 9 and the waves are coming up over our window. Incredible force!
