Retired & Traveling
What a gorgeous morning! Our ship changed time on us today, so we are now 8 hours ahead of Houston. We all were exhausted after our long bus trip back to the ship from Berlin yesterday. We encountered a very long line of other passengers waiting to board the ship, so by the time we finally got aboard, it was around 8:45 pm. We made a mad dash for the dining room to get our surf and turf, worth the wait!
Since we were at sea today, we had breakfast and then went for a walk. Pam and I did a load of laundry, can't believe we've already been gone a week! The guys were doing their own thing, so the girls went to soak in the hot tub. We were going to use the ship's spa whirlpool, but I found out it costs $150 to use it!!! They don't let you pay as you go, it's all or nothing, so I said forget it. What a rip! So we went to the main pool area and soaked for free. :)).
It was British Day which means English food is served in the Crown Grill for lunch. We met up w the guys and Rich & I had the steak and kidney pie which was a whole lot like beef stew baked in a yummy crust. Delicious! Pam & Mike had the fish and chips and another good meal was enjoyed by all.
We all sat out on our balcony enjoying a glass of wine and then before I knew it, I had to hurry to get ready for formal night. The 50th anniversary dinner was featured but I was the only one brave enough to try it. (See the photo of the menu) All of the food was amazing.
Rich and I headed back to the room and watched McFarland USA, a movie w Kevin Costner--we liked it. :)) Pam and Mike went to the Princess Theater again.
