Retired & Traveling
We arrived into Cozumel and docked right next to the terminal, which was very convenient. After a brisk walk around deck 7, we got ready for our excursion. We had booked a trip on a catamaran which was huge, held about 128 passengers. They had a photographer onboard who really resembled Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean character, (see photo) and he played up the part, too!
Rich & Mike participated in the snorkeling while Pam and I remained on the boat. I was going to snorkel, but didn't want to go into the deep water not having snorkeled in a while. They were offering free margaritas, beer and sodas so I enjoyed several while the group was snorkeling.
After everyone was back on board, they took us over to a private beach where we enjoyed just relaxing and drinking. The weather was just perfect, definitely not too hot or cold and the water was such a pretty shade that it almost looked fake!
We headed back to the ship after a bit and Pam and I did a little shopping in port, then it was back to the ship for some lunch and to get ready for formal night. We had heard they were serving lobster--and oh my....they were so good! They also had prawns that were just as good as the lobster and Beef Wellington...we were all stuffed when it was over!
They were showing a movie I wanted to see, "The Maze Runner" at the outdoor movie theater, so I bundled up in my new sweatshirt, a blanket and settled in. I was so sleepy I kept nodding off and ended up heading back to the room before it was finished. I had already seen the ending while waiting for it to start (again) anyway, and I had just read the book, so I figured I didn't miss too much. :))
