Retired & Traveling
We began our day again with a brisk walk around the ship...you can't use the treadmills in the gym until after 8:00 a.m., I'm guessing because there are passenger rooms below them and the sound would bother those guests? In any case, we like being outside anyway...although today is a little bit choppier than it has been, but still not bad. Every now and then we feel a large wave hit the ship but nothing drastic.
I had gone to breakfast with the Honnerts and when I came back to the room, I was locked out! Turns out that the little orange light that would come on when I put my key card in the door was a warning that the battery was going dead! Who Knew?? LOL Fortunately, I was only needing to grab a bathing suit to head to the spa, so it wasn't that crucial for me to get into the room. And by the time I got back from the spa, the door was working again.
Pam & I headed up to the Lotus Spa for our seaweed massages...the therapist smeared this gooey green stuff all over me, then wrapped me up like a burrito in some foil type stuff and left me soaking while she massaged my head--for about 20 minutes! Pure heaven!! Then I showered off the goo and she began doing a regular massage, for about 45 minutes. Again, pure bliss. This was followed up by a high pressure sales pitch to purchase all the products she had used on me--definitely NOT a good experience and I let Princess know that I was not pleased about this. We shall see how it goes on my next massage.
After meeting back up with Pam, we enjoyed the sauna and then headed back to our rooms. After a quick hello to the guys, we went out to the 15th deck and enjoyed being by the pool. We got in the hot tub but the pool water was too chilly, so we sat out and did some sunbathing.
I watched some movies, played bingo again and then it was time for dinner. We had a great waitress named Zanne from South Africa...we ended up requesting her again each remaining night we were there, she made our dinners much more fun!
After dinner, we headed to the Princess theater to watch a musical comedy act, Duncan Tuck. He was very entertaining. I'm having a bit of an issue with my legs swelling, so I was ready to call it a night after this.
