Retired & Traveling
I woke up this morning & was still running a fever, so no excursion for me. I probably could've managed but Rich encouraged me to try to take it easy & get better, so here I sit in our room while they've all gone off to visit Dubrovnik. I'm having a pity party. This was the one place I REALLY wanted to visit, so it just sucks that I'm sick.
I quit writing right after I typed that because there really wasn't a whole lot else to say except Poor Me. LOL So while they were gone, I ordered room service, organized all our trip papers, kinda got stuff together to pack. Rich showed up shortly after 1:00, and he was super hot & tired. He said I wouldn't have made it on the excursion, that there were a ton of people & it was very hot & stuffy. I just thought he was trying to make me feel better about missing but then Teena came in & said almost exactly the same thing, so probably a good idea that I missed.
We all just did our own thing, relaxing for the rest of the afternoon & then since I was feeling a tiny bit better, we went to see a comedian in the theater, who was hilarious! George Casey--a little guy from Ireland; we liked him so much we're going to try to go see him again tonight. We joined a table of Aussies for dinner & enjoyed chatting w/them. Seems like everyone we've met on this tour has been from Australia! We heard there's 500 of them and I feel like I've met almost all of them. :)
It was pretty late when we finished dinner, so we called it a night.
Oh....I forgot....we had our very last "sail away" as they call it....and it was just beautiful! Lots of moutains with villages & water...with the sun setting. We were all sad that our trip is almost over.
