We left the apartment in Peshtani about 8:15 am and got to Durrës around 1:00. No wrong turns, although we came close. It's very stressful on us both...and this was supposed to be a 3 hour drive! The roads were full of potholes, and we had to cross yet another border, although this one went a lot smoother since no motorcycle gang jumped in front of us. :))

We did stop off at a restaurant for lunch, so that added some time to our journey. Only one man in the place spoke English, so he helped us with our ordering. The food was good and for some reason, he comped our dessert! The whole meal was only $7 and we had ribs and salad plus drinks!

Our hostess was waiting in the street for us and showed us where to park. The apartment is very nice and overlooks the beach. It's around 83 with a nice breeze blowing and we are on the 6th floor, so it's comfortable. We have gotten settled in and are just relaxing and enjoying the ambience.
