We did, indeed, make it into Monticello today. Thomas Jefferson designed the house and built it on the very top of a hill, taking advantage of the magnificent 360-degree view. We had lunch in their café, went through the museum, and browsed the gift shop. After leaving Monticello, we headed for the University of Virginia to see it.
