The blog has finally caught up with us! Wow, that was a challenge. Let's see if we can keep it up to date now.
Yes, the catsup bottle does exist, in all it’s glory. Wanted to buy some catsup while we were here but couldn't fit it in the RV.
Went back to Lincoln’s house to finish seeing the rest of the park. Take away: Lincoln was against slavery throughout his career, which was not an easy stance to take at times. He lost government races many times before finally becoming president. South Carolina had already seceded from the Union in Dec 1860 before Lincoln took office.
Saw several more Route 66 icons before landing in East St. Louis. We’re right across from the arch. It’s within walking distance, so we may try it tomorrow. Need to get the burners fixed, so will stay over until Monday.
We’re doing a combination of I-55 and Route 66 (they are parallel roads in this area). We’re looking through the books and picking the things we’d like to see, then navigating to them.

- Finished Guess that Tune. It was a tie!
- Listened to a little more of Robin Williams. He really is x-rated!
- Random facts: These do work for having random discussions!

Belinda Kuo Ok, don't forget: go to the Fountain on Locust. It was voted best bathroom in the US. I wanna know what a best bathroom looks like. :)
Brudder Congratulations! You caught up on the blog. Some of your readers were getting worried reading week old stuff, kind of like you dissappeared after Elko. What's with that Paul Bunyon statue? He seems to appear everywhere, sometimes holding a hot dog, or an American flag, or nothing at all. It is the same exact statue as in California. If you have ever traveled up US101, the Redwood Highway, when nearing the Oregon border, there is the "Trees of Mystery". You see signs advertising this for 300 miles, but when you get there all you see the same statue of Paul Bunyon, except this time he has an ax in those huge hands. I would advise the traveler to keep $15 in thier pockets and skip the Trees of Mystery. The only mystery is why someone would pay $15 for such a tourist trap. Renee says they have a nice gift shop however. I would advise you skip seeing the two headed snake for the same reason. Nevertheless, I understand the world's biggest collection of rubber bands is educational.
