Barbara was close to 100% today. We figure we caught the infection soon enough that the antibiotic knocked out the infection before it had a chance to take over. We decided that we could go out for a drive and do some sightseeing in Celebration, Florida, right next door to Kissimmee.
The Walt Disney Company built the town of Celebration in 1994. They hired several famous architects to create the idealistic 1930’s-style community. We met a cast member at DW who grew up there, and she said it truly was a safe community, where you could walk and bike anywhere. They have lots of celebrations throughout the year and even have snow and sleigh rides at Christmas.
So, of course, we had to check it out. It really is a beautiful town. The number of high-density housing units surprised us, though. Maybe it’s changed a bit since Disney sold it in 2004.
We walked around the downtown area (literally one block long) to get the feel of the place, had ice cream, and headed back to the RV. I shut down. I don’t know what Barbara did.
