I got up this morning and felt like the cold was making a curtain call. As the day progressed, though, I felt better and better. But early on, I really didn't feel like driving. Barbara took the first shift and drove for almost three hours. By that time, I felt okay to drive, and I took a shift for eight or nine minutes. Barbara took over again and drove for another two hours. I drove for the final seven minutes of the trip today. Barbara was "Macho-Mom" today, and I was able to recuperate. Thanks Barbara.

We had talked about taking a winery tour in the Paso Robles area. We’ve done it a couple of times before, and we enjoyed it. During one of the few minutes I was driving today, Barbara called the tour company to get reservations. She found that their prices have gone up quite a bit, and we decided that it really wasn’t worth it. So we’re skipping Paso Robles this trip, and we expect to be home on Friday the 28th, instead of Sunday the 30th. We’ll save a few dollars and get to sleep in our real bed that much sooner.
