Tuesday Up early for the 1hr ferry hop to the next (last?) island, Milos - where the Venus Di Milo came from originally! Our hostess had to call every taxi company in the book - 40mins later a car was booked. Made the port in plenty of time, had breakfast next to the sea watching all the boats and various coming's and going's. Monday Switched accommodation in the morning as Stelios was fully booked, new place had great views and was only a couple of metres up the road! Sorry, workers, I spent Monday either lying on the beach or swimming in the cool blue waters of the sea. In the evening had some top souvlaki and a Greek salad then hopped the bus in to town (Annapolis) for ice cream. Then the adventures began....caught the wrong bus out of town, realised this so got off and strode...

Sunday Left the comfort of the hotel for the main port of Athens - had several hours to kill, ate some lunch, sweated a lot, people-watched...then caught the speed ferry to Sifnos. No worries and the 3hr ride flew by - very smooth. Rolled off the ferry with all the cars and scooters, nabbed a room for the night in Platys Gialos which we got to by catching the (hourly) bus. So, got to Athens and, so bloody stereotypical, got ripped off by a cabby as I forgot to get him on the meter...45 euros for a ride from the airport. Then the cool stuff started - Meeting my bestest girl in reception then up to the rooftop bar and pool area for a swim and a beer looking out over the rooftops, the Parthenon lit up on the horizon for all to see.
