Today was a chillout day, all day. Just about dragged myself out of the hotel in the evening - checked out the aftermath in Times Square, confetti was still coming down! NYE in the NYC - the place to be. Spent the day walking around Manhattan again, explored the New York Public Library further - such a beautiful building - and then Grand Central Station - awe-inspiring stuff. Waded through the gathering crowds early on in Times Square, what an atmosphere, before changing and heading out to a club for a NYE par-Tay. Ok, another day in the big apple...checked out the Upper West Side, see the Dakota building where John Lennon was shot ... visit Strawberry Fields memorial in Central Park, stroll back through the park past the frozen lakes. In the evening watch the ice hockey in Madison Square Gardens - the Rangers got thrashed by the Philadelphia Flyers 6-0. Discussed the finer points of the Rangers with a local in a restaurant at night.
