we arrived in koh samui to find zoe past out on the bed red raw and jet lagged she got on a ferry and didnt relise how bad the sun was so got a tad burnt because the ferrry took 5 hours. she gave us a few presents and cards from home. we went out for a meal and just chilled out with a few drinks. we also invested in UNO bordisum's best friend :) so had a few games.
the following day we headed over to koh phangnan to check into are hotel for the new year full moon party. when we arrived there was a problem with zoes booking the dates got mixed up and they had no rooms for her. oh no we thought. the hotel said leave it with us were sort it. so me and lynsey went to check into are hotel which was beautifull we had a cabin set amogst the trees on top of the cliff over looking the sea . The bed was massive and we had our own bathroom with hot water. we went to dinner with zoe by this time the hotel had sorted out a room for her well a bed in there spa. that was lucky! the whole island was packed there were no hotel rooms un-used people were even sleeping on the beaches or getting boats to and from island around koh phangnang.
the next day was new years eve
We went shopping for something to wear and brought ' same same but different' t-shirts. we got a tuk tuk to the beach which took around half an hour with other people from our hotel. when we got to the beach the entrance fee was 100barht (2pounds) . people where everywhere having a good time and the music was pumping. down the road to the beach stalls where selling sand castle buckets with a cocktails of drink inside. when we got through the crowds of people and on the beach it looked like people were dancing on stages when you look closer it was benches lined up together, anywhere there was space people where dancing. There was lights and a countdown and different music playing all down the beach. when it was new year a huge firewoork display went off and everyone went up a new level of madness! barry lost his flip flop in the sea and replaced it with another random flip flop! there was also a water side on the beach from about 10 meters in the air barry being his usual self was up there before we had even pointed it out! the way home was interesting we took a taxi then we got on the back of a bicyle then a tuk tuk! but still the cheapest new year ever all the taxi fairs cost less than 10 pounds! it was a briilaint night and we will remeber it forever it was just a incredible infectous atmosphere.
