After a long coach trip we arrived in phuket town at midnight with no hostel booked we tried to find one we found a hostel called on on hotel it was used in the film the beach to video when the person died in the room after giving him the map. it was a bit eiry but really cool and old. we all loved it it was only £6 for 3 of us bargin. the next day we headed to patong beach this is were all the tourist go and stay in funny because its only 5 km away but every thing is 5 times the price. we decided to sit on the beach all day which was so good i got a jet ski out and had great fun on that. that night we went to a bar which had live music it was a bit dead but ha out side was police officers drinking their hearts out got to love the thai police.
the next day we were moving to a hostel we had booked over the other side of the island when we got there it was booked wrong and only had 1 bed. it wasnt a nice place and away from every where so decided to head back to the hostel in phuket town and then the next day go koh phi phi. we ended up staying in the on on hotel again and this time the room we stayed in had writing on the walls. we added to the writing with are names and a saying the 'world is a book and those who dont travel only read one page'. we left for koh phi phi
after a 2 hour boat journy due to one of the boats enginees brakeing down we arrived to koh phi phi and there was a mad rush for accomidation we finally found a guest house in the top of island. we then went exploring to the beach. the beach was so nice had loads of bars and restrants down the whole of the beach.
the next day we went on a hunt for a tour we been told about from others traverlers. this tour wasnt advertised that well was in the back of tour offices. we found a place which done it and booked on to it. it was camping at maya bay which was the beach out of the film the beach.
that night we had a nice meal and hit the bar on the beach there was a fire dance show which was good and we sat on the beach drinking till the morning.
we woke up and sat on the beach all day then at 3 we went to the meeting point for are trip. the good thing about this trip is that if you go to the beach durring the day theior is about 50 boats and hundreds of tourist which isnt there good. as are boat arrived into maya bay all the tourist boats were leaving we dived of the boat and snorkled around the bay we saw so many fish it was so pretty. we walked on to the beach and by this point all the boats had left for the night their was only 25 of us left on the beach which the sand was like flour and the cliffs were massive all around the bay it was amazing we sat there for half hour just taking it in. as it got dark we had dinner thai curry what was to die for and the guys who run the trip did a fire dance on the beach. we all started drinking and partying on the beach. we got told that if you swim in the sea at night all the placton lights up around you at this point we all turned into kids as we swam the sea was glowing we were all so excited. that night we slept on the beach with just a sleeping bag. me and lynsey woke up at 5 in the morning and just sat there watching the sun rise over the cliff walls of the bay we had 3 hours of the beautifull beach to enjoy. at about 8 oclock you hear the sound of engines and see boats all heading to the beach from the bay entrance. the peace was over but what a amazing experience. we headed back to phi phi on the way we stopped at viking caves and went snorkling.
that night we went to a bar called regga bar. this bar has a boxing ring in it and allows tourist to sign up and get in the ring. the winner of the fight gets a free bucket. this is crazy and stupid so many idiots do this the bucket is only worth 3 pounds. but its good fun and funny to watch there is a big sign on the wall fight get a free bucket win get a bigger bucket. brake your nose get another free bucket.
we spent a few days on phi phi in the sun on the beach just chilling out. we then went back to phuket town. it felt like we had just been away for a few days and we was back home was a strange feeling. zoe left us to get her flight to bangkok to go back to england. me and lynsey had a nice meal that night in a restrant the food was amazing.
