Arrived in Varanasi to spectacular views of the Ganges from our hotel rooftop. It really felt as special as people had been telling us, and we were preparing for a nice relaxing couple of days. This however soon changed... Within a couple of hours of venturing into the town we witnessed a dead monkey, a dead dog, a cow that's insides were falling out, and Becky came close to a mild heart attack as she nearly walked into a man carrying a snake round his neck!...

Khajaraho is the town of erotic temples, so off we went to play 'spot the dirtiest sculpture' game! There were many to choose from... according to one of the sculptures, even horses can be man's best friend! There are 3 sets of temples here, the largets of which are the Western Temples followed by the Eastern and finally Southern. We visited the first 2, as we were only here for a couple of days, and Becks was getting pretty bored of playing Where&#...

Arrived in Agra at 11am and left again 14 hours later so not that much to report apart form... Taj Mahal = Awesome! Had all the usual tourist photos taken and featured in most Indian familie's snaps as well! The number of Indian families that have asked us to be in their photos over the last couple of days is phenomenal, we should start charging - they would certainly charge us!! Had a rather interesting bus journey here - we had to stop for 45 minutes whil...

We arrived here when everything was closing, so had to act fast on accommodation. Having read our bible (the Lonely Planet guide) we knew we were prime targets for the rickshaw conmen, as we had no idea where we wanted to stay. Refusing to be conned, we spent an hour wandering around the industrial area of Jaipur... not where we needed to be... but we were on the right lines. We arrived 7km away from the bus stand at Ajmer at 4am in the morning (which is 19km from here)! We refused to be ripped off by the rickshaw drivers, so decided to walk the 7k and then get a government bus from Ajmer bus stand to Pushkar (the 1st one leaving at 6am)!
