We have spent the last 2 1/2 weeks in San Francisco waiting for the RV to be repaired, relaxing and enjoying the city and it's amazing weather. We are currently in Santa Cruz, California an hour north of Monterey. We have slowly made our way up Hwy 1 hugging the coast from Los Angeles. In Santa Barbara, Kim had a little run in with a tree stump while reversing the RV. It was at very slow speed but given the RV's fiberglass construction did more damage than we'd hoped. From Palm Springs we headed west to the Los Angeles area where the RV went in for repair and we stayed in a hotel in Marina Del Rey for Memorial Day weekend. After hearing how beautiful Idyllwild is from Kim's parents, we made our way there from Arizona. We were planning on camping in the RV up in Idyllwild which is nestled in the San Jacinto mountains not far from Palm Springs. We spent 3 nights at the Grand Canyon National Park at the South Rim. It was more beautiful than we imagined - which is always a nice surprise.
