From Palm Springs we headed west to the Los Angeles area where the RV went in for repair and we stayed in a hotel in Marina Del Rey for Memorial Day weekend. We had a wonderful time meeting up with some old friends and exploring the surrouding areas (Venice, Malibu, Topanga Canyon). We had a lovely beach day at Paradise Beach, Malibu, followed by a day of good music at Topanga Days music festival where Ziggy Marley played.
Benjamin has had a great time and is doing lots of swimming and splashing in the ocean. The weather here is absolutely perfect - 70 degrees, sunny and no humidity. We are now begin our journey up the coast.

Mum [Anne] Finally caught up with all the wonderful places you've been. I think I liked Iddlewyld best - yes I know that's not the way to spell it but you get my drift. John and I loved Benjamin's reaction to that model train but personally, I'm pleased that Oliver is so fleet of foot and is able to catch that human dynamo before he gets into big-time-trouble!
