Today was an early start we packed up and got on the road, stopping firstly in Cann River for coffee. It was difficult to choose a coffee provider as in a town of about ten shops, four of them sold coffee so we went for the bakery and were sadly disappointed. Jamie had the theory that everyone who stops in Cann river has a terrible coffee and thinks they can do better so sets up their own cafe, but nobody has got it right yet! We powered on through to Bega, stopping to feed Mabel in Eden on the way through. At Bega we headed to the big cheese factory where we sampled some pretty plain cheese then had a picnic lunch by the river in the beautiful weather. We bought some homemade cookies from a local market in the factory car park. From Bega we continued on to Narooma and settled into the house we had rented which was well stocked and quite comfortable, although the neighbours we colourful characters! After settling in for a bit we put on our walking shoes and tackled the hilly streets down to the inlet to have some delicious local oysters waterside then bush bashed back up to the house. We cleaned up then headed into o'briens pub which had beautiful views over the water to have a beer and some seafood for dinner. There was about five people in the pub, very quiet but nice and relaxing. We came back to the house and finally got Mabel to sleep then crashed ourselves. Mabel still has to get used to the portacot, it makes a bit of a rustling sound and is a bit unfamiliar so it gets a bit tricky settling her, but we will keep at it and get there eventually.
