We didn't have far to go today. We checked out a roadside stop beside a river (with running water for a change) but decided to head to Gnoorea and 40 Mile Beach, where you can camp for a small fee on the beach.
We set up on the edge of a small cliff with sweeping views over a rocky headland and small beach. The only issue is the strong winds, which is why all the caravans are parked on an angle to buffer the wind gusts.
In the afternoon we drove around the Gnoorea Peninsula, checking out the many (some remote) campsites among the mangrove. We found a good beach at the far end for Cadbury to have a run and a swim chasing sticks into the water. Then back to our campsite, where thankfully the wind had died down, in the late afternoon in time for happy hour with some of the other campers.
Another BBQ weber dinner, which we never tire of and it is so easy and delicious to cook this way. We spent the evening watching some Breaking Bad episodes as there is no TV reception.
Night night, sweet dreams xx
