Our second day in Brisbane was a busy one.
We spent some time lazing around the pool, and then headed up to the D'Aguilar National Park, to take in some scenic views.
We stopped on our way up the mountains to have some lunch at a rather nice little cafe. We had a great view, whilst waiting for our food to arrive. We were kept entertained by the various birds who were busy trying to get to everyone's food! A kookaburra kept the other birds away, but two very cheeky magpies came into the cafe to explore!
After lunch we kept going up the mountains, stopping at the various lookouts to admire the views.
Towards the top of the national park (we got to 756 metres), we were surrounded by rainforest, and we heard bell-birds everywhere. They sounded just like someone was chiming a bell -- everywhere!
After the mountains, we came back to the motel, and had a lovely dinner at the motel restaurant. Delicious food, followed by a borrel in Lisanne's apartment.
