Very early start today - we were on the road before 7.30 am. We had arranged to stop at a truck centre to have our cab air conditioning re-gassed. So we did that and were on the road again by 8.30 am.
It was soon apparent, however, that we wasted not only our time and money, but also whatever refrigerant gas was left in our airco system! So we drove most of the way without air conditioning!!! And given that the temperature topped 40 degrees today, and given that the distance was nearly 450 km, that was not small feat!
Anyway, the three of us survived. We saw lots of wild goats, some emus and lots of birds (as well as lots of unidentifiable roadkill), and arrived in Cobar, NSW, without further incident.
Unfortunately the caravan park does not have a pool, but we've already made use of the showers (jumping under a cold shower in bathers works fine)!
Lisanne is joining us in Harvey tonight, as all the cabins at this caravan park are full.
Tomorrow we drive on to Dubbo for a couple of nights.

P.S. Broken Hill reached a maximum of 41 today, Cobar 39. Along the way we passed through Wilcannia, and it reached 43. A very hot day!
