I SEE THE SEA
We have finally made it back to the big blue and it doesn't take too many days in the increasingly hotter outback, camping in a (very quickly) very hot van to appreciate a sea breeze. Never mind the crocodiles.
My trip was made today just shy of Bourke and Wills roadhouse when we saw half a dozen jack- and jillaroos mustering cattle along the side of the road. I remember seeing it (with sheep) around the Hay area when I was a kid but having travelled as far as I have and without a sight I thought it was gone forever. But no, you just need to drive to Carpentaria Shire (68000 square kms, 2500 people).
I have finally splurged on a prepaid mobile broadband stick so you can expect to hear from me more regularly (sorry Rob) but not tonight cos I have just spent the last hour on the phone to Telstra getting it to work.
Aye Karumba!!!
