Day 14 - Thursday January 11, 2024 Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Arrival 9:00 Last Tender 17:30 Departure 18:00
Our first tender of the cruise. We arrive early again as we anchor in the Bay overlooking the arches of El Arco de Cabo San Lucas. Eight ship tours are scheduled for the day but we decided to do a walk about with Bev and Glenn and see what the days brings.
You can tell the weather is getting cooler as I walk the track wearing a long sleeve hoodie.
Vendors greet us as we leave the security area and we can see Mexican Marines with rifles walking the street. I do not remember seeing the Marines the last time here in 2022.
Everyone wants to sell you something. After passing most of the vendors we are stopped by a very persistent lady wanting us to take a trip on a glass boat. The cost for forty minutes was $10 USD per person. What a bargain.
I seemed to be whistling the theme from Gilligan's Island as we climb onto the wooden boat. Many boats are going to the same place, the El Arco de Cabo San Lucas a local landmark. Our boat captain took our picture in front of the Arches.
While sailing back into the port Janice was able to get a picture of a sea lion that had climbed on the back of boat for a ride bribed by fish. His name is Pancho and is a regular.
After leaving the glass boat boat it was time for a burger and fries lunch at Solomon's Landing to settle our stomachs before tendering back to the ship.
Regent Seven Seas Mariner is also anchored in the bay. She is an all suites ship with 700 passengers.
Scheduled departure time was 18:00 but with all passengers accounted for the anchor was pulled up and it is off to the final port of this cruise.
A sea day then Ensenada, Mexico 711 nautical miles away.

Michelle Cianflone I've actually met and had our boys feed Pancho last time we were there!
