Last night wasn't the best sleep I've had. We stayed up late reading, possibly because we were a little unsettled with where we were staying. We could hear people coming and going from the other few rooms inside the metal doors, all foreign voices. It was so hot as well. Well, leaving Shanghai was eventful. After making it to the train station and finding our platform waiting area, we wondered why we were told to arrive so early. When they started to let people board about 40 minutes prior to departure it all became clear. Yesterday we went to have a wander round the French Concession (posh bit) and to the Bazaar shopping market. There was also a famous tea shop that we saw which is above water and the bridge to get to it is really zig zagged as apparently evil spirits can't turn corners. Later on we went back to the Bund to see the Pudong skyscrapers all lit up again as I didn't have my camera last time. It was pleasant. Today we have checked out and are lazing around in the gard...

Hello from Shanghai! Not much to report from the last couple of days. Shanghai is pretty spectacular with the skyline by the riverside and our hostel is amazing! It's a shame we're only staying here for 3 nights. Today we went to the People's Square and Park, The Bund and Pudong. It was a lot of walking. We mainly entertained ourselves by taking pictures of each other with a skyscraper behind, making it look like we had hats on! The simple things... They do real...

Meat off the street is bad. My enemy food poisoning made a return today. I only had it a few weeks ago but at least I was at home in my own bed, not in a noisy room, with a toilet not that nearby which I have to share with strangers. It must have been last night, so at least I could be sick and try and get it out of my system as quickly as possible. Either that or it came on so quickly because it's really bad.
