Greetings,

We arrived in Bali again on Tuesday night after a 11 hour journey by bus and boat from the Gilis in lombok, which we were sad to leave. We would post the photos but the computer wiped them off the camera before we even tried to copy them, but its ok lots of beer and shopping stopped Hayley from crying! she got her hair cut and highlighted too so shes happy again now.

The Gilis is definitly a great place if you want a relaxing holiday, each being very different in what they offer but with a 20 minute hop from island to the next you can see them all and choose where you want to be and the snorkellin is amazing. when we hopped over to Gili Meno we spent 2 days there and stayed in a cool little place just inward from the beach, where there were gardens and little thatch bamboo cottages. We stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed the owners company at the bar and had huge bbq whole fish for tea. The barman made Hayley a welcome drink with 'Arak' in it (its everywhere here and like vodka but made from rice) which stole her ability to talk!

It was quite boring after the party island of Gili Trawangan, so we oved to Gili air and stayed in the north where there were less people, you could see the sunrise and sunset and next door was a reggae bar and restaurant which ice cold cheep beer and free dvds to watch all day long. We made friends with the barman there and played chess with him and shared beer and stories. He sorted out our tickets back to Bali for us. Hayley would spend her mornings snorkelling while the tide was in and we saw huge starfish and fish. then we would watch dvds and sleep in the heat of the day.

Now in Bali, yesterday we bought lots of cheap dvds and cds, clothes and stuff and today we have no plans whatsoever. i'm sorry we cant show you the pictures of the huge fish we had for tea (hayley had baracuda and Dan red snapper) or the bungalows where we stayed but hey you'll have to come out here and see it for yourself.

We're off to get a beer now even though its 11.18am! Will update you again soon,
