Both slept well on the flight. Into KL at 4:00 am however and had an agonizing 3 hour wait in KL's heat and humidity until our connecting flight to Bangkok.

Short flight to Bangkok - back into the heat and humidity. Quick transfer (for Bangkok) to our hotel. We all have excellent 1 bedroom hotel apartments at Natural Ville (run by Accor). Quick shower, then walked up the road to Central Chidlom to lunch. We all ordered too much of course being our first meal. Then back to the hotel to rest before dinner.

Bangkok is unbearable - hot and humid.

Our Thai friends (from Sydney) could not join us for dinner but suggested a restaurant within walking distance. Excellent little restaurant with great Thai food. Feasted on small baby crabs, Esan sausage, Tom Kha Gai (soup), whole Fish with red curry paste, Chicken with Basil & Chilli, Larb, Som Tum (green papaya salad) with crispy catfish and Morning Glory (greens) with crispy pork. Washed down with copious quantities of beer by the guys - all for the princely sum of 1,600 THB (53 AUD) total for all.
