We shopped around again as this was the last opportunity for Mandy to buy all the fabulous Pashmina shawls and scarves that are available in Kathmandu.

Rosie and Mandy went out sightseeing to Patan whilst I opted for a quite day around the Thamel area. Bought a few supplies for my trip to Bhutan, poked around Pilgrims bookshop, enjoyed an Illy coffee at the Roadhouse cafe and found a great antique shop (to look not to buy). Had a good Newari meal at the Bhumi restaurant not far from our hotel. It had been recommended to us by a 2 different Nepalese people and it was great to find it full of locals, not tourist...
