Our trip has come to an end..... The picture proves that it is time to leave.... Never mind the feet, there are other things in desperate need to cleaning, i.e. clothes, our sleeping bags and various other things in day use! As it is, leaving Lukla seems to be another mission! We have met plenty of stranded travelers already, who were scheduled to fly out at a specific day and time and then were not able to leave because of apparent bad weather conditions. Fligh...

Arrived in Lukla - here for the second day already! We missed our flight yesterday and now, we are wait listed to fly out today....all depending on weather! Apparently the wind is too strong to allow planes to land and take off. A bit a pain in the back, as we are literally sitting around and wait. Not much to do here either.... There is a good coffee shop opposite the departure entrance of the airport, but then, how much coffee can one drink in any one day........

Arriving back on Namche is a real treat! Wonderful accommodation, hot shower and generally nice people, the latter not unusual at all for Nepal!! I learnt to appreciate the seemingly insignificant things with much greater intensity than ever before! O have sanitation accessible and easily available, just to charge your phone is a mission here and cost a small fortune every time you need to do so... The morning cup of coffee, which is a given is not always possib...

We have arrived at the famous monastery of Tengboche. Famous, because most climbing Sherpas seek the blessings of the Gods before making out to climb Everest or any other mountain. Famous, because Tenzing Norge was blessed before he was the first to summit, together with Sir Edmond Hillary in 1953. Here in Tenboche, I met an Irish guy, who is just starting out on his trip. His intentions are to climb both: Labuche East and Island Peak! Should be quite a challenge for him to do! Him and his wife just recently relocated to Dubai, because his wife found a good job there. Ireland still suffering from the economic crisis. He will use his time to climb and reflect... I guess this is what pretty much everyone is doing here, who is climbing or just trekking the Him...
