We arrived at Heathrow Airport in London at about 5 in the morning and it was freezing (something like 13 degrees). So we had to make our way to Luton Airport to get out flight to Israel. So off we went on the coach to Luton which was about 1.5 hrs. The bus trip was lovely with rolling countryside waking up for the day.
Typically our flight with easyjet to Israel was delayed by a few hours so we had plenty of time to browse through an edition of the soon to be extinct News of the World. Never having flown with easyjet before we didn't realize that seats were not allocated. The resulting scrum to get seats near the front of the plane was hysterical. Also typically the flight (full of Israelis) was a big catch up for everyone and at any one time half the passengers were standing in the aisle having intense theological and political discussions with their fellow passengers.
I felt terrible on the flight (bad sandwich at Luton airport I suspect) So arriving in Tel Aviv was a relief. We were exhausted after so many hours of continuous travel and after Shaun's cousin Yael and parents Hilton and Rosemary fetched us we quickly crashed on our beds for the night.
