Anna's Big Trip
I'm finally in Italy! hurray! The ferry ride had the potential to the worst ferry ride of my life, but I think I got to sleep just in time, otherwise I would have been seasick the whole night. We got in about 8am this morning and found out that the earliest train to Rome wasn't until 4pm, so we (Simon and I, Simon is from Quebec studying in Paris for the year) have been exploring the rather unromantic city of Bari. It was sad to say goodbye to my friend Niki, we have been traveling together for almost a week now, but she is off to Slovenia, Hungary, Romania...etc. I'm not even in a main Italian city yet, but I can already tell that Italy is all about fashion, expensive fashion. I will be in Rome for probably three days and then up to Siena and Florence, Cinque Terra and Vience. Of course this all depends on how much Easter affects travel here. Easter is a big deal here! It should be fun to see. I still need addresses for Andrea, Maura, Kyle and Larry, Danny and Jenn, Jennifer, and anybody else that would like a postcard, so get on it people!=) I'm very excited for the rest of my trip, lots of Italy, a day or so in Brussels (where I plan to stuff myself full of Belgian chocolate, waffles, fries, and beer!) and then ending in Paris for a couple of days before heading off for South Africa. Oh! I also wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Robin! I love ya and hope your day was great. thanks for all the messages.
