Surfers Paradise is home to the Surfers Paradise International Raceway. Despite having an extremely large land mass, some crazy Aussies decided it was a good idea to make Surfers Paradise a street circuit. Today we were finally able to see what all the fuss was about. The town was alive and we decided for an easy day, before setting off too Brisbane on the coach the next day. A coach by this point we had seen enough of and were glad to never be on after.
The race circuit was on route to a large mini golf course. where we set about playing 18 holes on 3 courses of the most tacky and craptastic decorations. From moving dinosaurs to strange half working contraptions, including a robotic crocodile that scared the life out of me. Despite this, the golf was fun and allowed for mine and Laura's competitive side to come out. Resulting in a very close draw!
After we caught a glimpse of the race through a heavily secured fence, before we set off on a mile or so walk down the beach back to the main strip. Grabbing some noodlebox take away before heading back to the apartment I was going to miss.
