Day 91 - We decided to leave Don Khong today and head to Don Det which is a bit further south but still part of Four Thousand Islands. We needed to get a boat to this island and the journey lasted about 1 hour. Once we got there we found that the island was quite deserted. Day 88 - We got picked up from our hotel at about 7am and the journey to the boat taking us over to Four Thousand Islands took about 3 hours. Once we arrived at the boat, it took another 30 minutes to get to Don Khong Island. The scenery just keeps amazing us, we just can't believe that it can be so different from one place to another. Day 87 - We arrived in Pakse at about 6am. Our first impressions of the place was 'oh god'! It was rather a dump, very smelly and dusty. We had high hopes though and were not put off by this. We headed to a guesthouse that the Lonely Planet had recommended. Day 85 - Today we left Vang Vieng, ideally we had wanted to stay and have another day tubing on our own but as we were on a timescale (we wanted to be in Cambodia for Christmas) we had to leave. Day 83 - We left Luang Prubang today at 7am to head to Vang Vieng. The so-called 'VIP' bus that we were traveling on was not up to much at all! I right old banger with rattly chairs and a smelly clutch! Anyway the journey was the most scariest ride I've ever been on and Anth slept right through it, lucky b*****!!
