Around the world with Annie
The festival was fantastic, despite the weather. It poured down for the whole three days. It was bloody freezing. My winter woolies were out and put to good use. The music was brilliant, lots of jazz, blues, folk and so much more. I even had the chance to meet some of the artists because they also enjoyed being in the audices. One lady named, Valerieanne, had a voice that was smooth as silk. She sung alot of Nina Simone, Peggy Lee etc.
I am slightly hung over today becuae it was my last night in Tadoussac. I truely loved that place, it will live long inside my heart. I was sad to say good-bye to some of the people, a few tears were shed by all.
I'm back in Montreal. I'm staying at a beautiful hostel. It has a rustic feel to it. The bunkbeds are hand made, they also have curtains so you have a little privacy. I have a blow up matress, its been pumped up quite hard so I know I will be sleeping very well tonight. The hostel also has private rooms rooms/huts which are fashioned in the shape of old gypsy caravans. The best thing of all is that I free access to the internet, free use of the washing machine and dryer and breakfast is included in the price. The showers are the best yet. (10/10). Hot and very powerful. Not bad for the price of 13 pounds. Im hoping to meet my friend Renee, the dutch girl who I met in Tadoussac. I will have some pictures tomorrow, not many but enough to see that I'm still smiling!
Take care, Love Annie
