Woke up on the horrible night bus! I think I need to shower in alcohol gel pronto when I get to a guest house!
On the plus side, it's Michael's 21st birthday today! Casually sang happy birthday to him, much to all of the other passengers delight! He will only be 21 once though so I don't care!
Got off the rubbish bus and me, Michael, Charlotte and Becca got a taxi to try and find a guest house, ended up checking into 'St Paul Guest House', it costs $15 (£9.58) which is a little expensive but all of the others were the same price as well!
We all dumped our bags and walked to Rainbow Cafe to have breakfast! Ordered an egg sandwich and received some form of bread with a pancake omelette! Only in Asia! Watched total wipeout while eating, you know because we are so into the culture! ;)
We all went back to the room, got ready and met at reception ready to book a taxi! Usually we would have a chill day after a night bus but as its Michael's birthday we are doing the opposite and in taking him to a theme/water park!!
The 20 minute taxi from the accommodation to the cable car was 80000 dong (£2.40). The theme/water park is on an island so you have to go over the sea, we took the cable car which is the biggest cable car to go over sea in the world! Only the best for birthday boy!!!
Queued for about 40 minutes to get onto it though! Asians are so pushy! They have no idea how to queue so it's a free for all! If you want to get anywhere you have to be aggressive! Be be aggressive! Haha
The activity park is called Vinpearl and has the best water park in Vietnam and the biggest swimming pool in South East Asia.
The cable car was quite scary! Of course there is always some Asian having palpitations in the corner! There was 8 of us all squeezed in! It took 15 minutes to get all the way to the island!
We went to the theme park first! Went to the biggest roller coaster even though it was quite small! It reminded me of mouse trap at home! Lined up and about 3 Asians were being sick after every round! Are they actually kidding me! I was in hysterics! We all went on it and pretended to be sick when it was our turn! Totes hilar!
We then went on these gokart things! You get on at the bottom, we each had separate ones. They are on a train track and it takes you up the side of the mountain! After 20 minutes you are at the top and you stop at a station and a guy tells you how to control the kart then you go all the way down but you can go faster of slower on this roller coaster! All four of us got stopped loads for going to fast and not staying at least 25 meters from each other! Hilarious!
After this we walked to the aquarium! Michael has a fish fetish so he loved it! Seriously he was loving it a bit to much! He knew all the fish names and everything about them! It was amazing though I love aquariums because you can look at the fish without being attacked by all the carnivorous beings!!!
There was a huge shark jaw bone so we all stood inside it for a picture, these Asians started taking photos of us on there cameras! They obsess over white people doing funny things! What are these guys using this picture for???
The only place that sold food was 'fast food restaurant' it was rubbish! Haha I think we eat to much Asian food to like stuff like this ever again!
Walked to the water park, it's all in the same resort but takes about 10 minutes to walk to each part. Got to the lockers and all four of us shared one! It cost 30000 dong (90p), it's expensive because it's a resort! We all just walked around in bikinis (even Michael) haha.
Some of the Asians kept on all there clothes! How they were comfortable I'll never know but it's there choice! Only about a quarter of them though the rest wore swim wear.
The water park was crazy! I don't think I've been to one before? There was about 30 different slides! We went on most of them! There was one were you sit in a 2 person inflatable and they push you off a vertical drop! It looked a bit like a skate park thing where you go up one side then the other until you slow down!
Saw a Asian girl wearing fake eyelashes and full make up! Is she crazy? Her eyelashes ended up on her chin by the time she was at the bottom!
Went in the biggest swimming pool thats a wave pool! It was so fun! We got rubber rings and were thrown about everywhere! We went in the tunnel part of the pool and nearly lost our lives! A 5 year old stole Michael's inflatable ring so he chased him and got it back from the poor boy! He was like 'its my 21st birthday I can do what I want', he has a point! Haha
The water park is right on the beach so we went to go chill there for a bit! Saw some people parasailing and me and Michael decided to do it! It cost 600000 dong (£18) but its Michael's birthday so we did it anyway!
They harnessed us up on the beach and held the parachute up, we then got dragged along the beach until we started to fly over the water! It was amazing! Once in a lifetime! It only lasted about 5 minutes. They dropped us in the middle of the sea! Seriously there is jelly fish mate so step on it! I screamed until we flew up again! The view was amazing!
The boat dropped us back down in the water near the beach and we swam to the jet ski! Pulled ourselves on and drove to the shore. The jet ski man then flipped it so we flew off it! What a crazy guy!! It was funny though!
Went back to the water park to go on some new slides, we went on one called kamikaze I think? Anyway me and Charlotte both wacked our heads on the lethal slide! I hated it! Ha
So we decided to float in the lazy river for a while, that is until we went under a bridge and a guy was encouraging his son to wee into it! We all ran straight for the ladders out!
Walked back to the lockers, got changed and went to the indoor games part. It was like 5 ish now and was getting dark. We went to go and see a 4D film! Queued for ages, Asians have no idea how to queue. I'll teach them.
The film lasted 15 minutes. It was just going through a tunnel to different parts on the film, like water parts, fire parts and stuff like that! The seats lifted up and moved around, air was blown in our faces and water sprayed at us.
Asians get scared of everything! There bodies cant handle anything! We didn't have seat belts as we only move a bit but they were all clinging on for life! Screaming and shouting! We literally were in tears laughing at them I hardly saw the film!
Watched a magic show on the way back to the cable car! It was rubbish! It was dark now and when we got in the car it was scary! All the pillars that go in the sea were lit up, they each looked like the Eiffel tower!
Got back to the room and I went to get Michael all his favourite things! About 8 different chocolate bars, vodka, sweets and whatever else the 7 eleven sold!
Got ready, researched where was good to go and walked to The Sailing Club. It was beautiful! Far to posh for us but it was full of travellers so we are posher then them! Well, I am ;)
It was huge! They had performances on the beach part of the club with fire shows and competitions! We paid 120000 dong (£3.60) to get in which is steep but you get a free drink.
Instead of buckets here they do jam jars which is cool! It cost 70000 dong (£2.10) for a big one. Met Becca and Charlotte there and we saw a lot of people we know from travelling! I guess this place is just popular!
We all walked home at 2! This is early for us but non of us slept on the night bus last night and we had been running around Vinpearl all day so we were all tired!
