Checked out at 11.59, right on time! The receptionist didn't speak any English only the word 'ok', so I guess everything is ok to her!
Walked with my 22kg rucksack on my back on my 8kg backpack on my front! It hurts. My back was killing me hopping over drains and running across roads in the boiler hot mid day sun! I don't know if 30kg is a lot but I'm telling you it is!!! Get me a limousine!
Checked into Chong Hoe Guest House near Jonker Street! It costs us 40 ringgit (£8) per night with double bed, fan, aircon, tv, sink in room and shared bathroom!
Chilled in the aircon after the long hot walk from Little India, finished my post cards then we went to post them, we didn't know which post box to put them in so are just hoping for the best! Tell me when you relieve them please!
Ate at a restaurant in China Town, Sweet and sour fish with rice, yummy! Skyped mum and she was jealous! Sorted out life with mum as to when I'm coming home and stuff! Uncle Russell, Rocio and cousin Michael might be going home soon as well!
We walked to Bukit China, (right past our old hotel - awkward) which has the largest Chinese cemetery outside of China! It has 12,500 graves and 20 muslim tombs! We had to walk over one grave to get to the next as there's no space in between or pathway! Got attacked by a monitor lizard half way round! Those things bite so you have to hop jump and skip over the graves to save your own life!
On the way home we tried Cendol in a different way, it had ice cream today! I never thought I would eat ice cream with sweet corn, kidney beans and everything else the put in it! Crazy!
Walked down Blacksmiths street where there is blacksmiths on either side and the whole street smells like burning. The term 'black' comes from the colour of the iron metal after its heated and the term 'smith' means craftsmanship.
We stay on Temple Street, our guest house is right outside Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (temple of bright clouds).
The Urang utan artist down our street has his own shop. It's quite good and has some quirky Tshirts and paintings for sale. One particular one says 'help Malaysia, use local rubber' and has a picture of a condom!
Got home, chilled then walked to 'Eleven' restaurant near Jonker Walk, had fish and chips! As in actually battered fish and chips! You don't really get potato in Asia at all and you certainly don't batter fish! It was rubbish! Rather have rice or noodles! I think it's all we will eat when we come home! Michael waited an hour for his and I think he started eating his own hand!
Michael got a free keyring with the bill!
I was so jealous! I started doing a scrap book first and now he wanted to do a poster thing when he is home I have to share all these things! I don't want to share! Hahahahahahahahah!
Walked home and spoke to Da all night, makes me sad as I don't know when we will see each other again.
