Arrive mid-afternoon at beautiful WA coastline. Most of the young folk are larking about in the water, whilst others head for a walk (note that Australia and some of England count as 'not young' for the purposes of this exercise). Japan declares that the walk is 'brilliant! very good!". Germany declares that those who have stayed behind are 'zery lazy'.
Evening camp dinner: the guides invite the girls forward to eat first. Germany is unabashed, until ANZAC forces make their presence felt. In a Neville Chamberlian moment, all seems calm and A-M declares "I have in my hand peas and potatoes....". Alas, Germany ignores the peas deal and annexes the chicken stir fry shortly after. Post dinner, we are joined by some Germans from another group. Young Holland declares that they are 'dull'. Old Holland (mad as a badger) is moaning to all and sundry about everything. Switzerland seems to be neutral on the question of washing up.
